I had the pleasure of photographing the Barrett Family a little while ago with their son Carter. All of my clients mean so much to me as they let me into their lives, but Carter holds a special place in my heart. He was one of the sweetest little guys I've ever met- full of smiles and laughs. 

No parent ever wants to imagine their baby having to endure hardships of any kind, especially undergoing multiple surgeries. Carter was born with what his mom told me is a bilateral cleft lip and palate, in which he will be having multiple surgeries to repair. At 4 months old, this little man was such a testament to how innocent and pure babies are. They don't know judgement or ignorance, only joy, happiness and love. The images we captured from this session display the love this family shares, and I am so excited to share them. 
I ask that you all keep Carter in your thoughts and prayers as he undergoes his first surgery. Braylee, Ryan and Carter, you are truly remarkable people.

I've recently 'adjusted' my newborn photography style, and am loving it! Focusing more on controlled lighting, I try and create images that have emotion, while at the same time portraying that softness a newborn baby offers. Let me know what you think!
