Hello, I'm Alicia!
I'm a coffee addict, a lover of classic rock, country music and a little bit of everything else as long as I can dance to it. I have a deep love for the outdoors, the western lifestyle, and horses. Oh right, and I think I also have the best job in the world!
I live on an acreage outside of Okotoks Alberta with my husband Ryan, my son, Dusten and my daughter, Aryanna. We have a whole crew of animals including a koi pond, a dog, a barn cat (who rules the roost), two bunnies, two horses and a unicorn named Luna!
I have a lifelong love for creating art, whether it be through the lens of my camera, or with pastels, and paint brushes. Art has always been an enormous part of my life, and I think that plays a huge role in how I see the world and can capture the images that I do. I have been a commissioned portrait and wildlife artist for over 21 years, taking my own reference photographs whenever I can, which is how I originally got into photography.
As a photographer, I strive to create artistic and dreamy images that capture candid moments and focus on the little details that we often overlook. My editing style is artistic yet timeless and just like my paintings, I take pride in turning a blank canvas into something extraordinary.
Even as a child I was always drawing, painting or photographing the world around me. My passion for all things that make life beautiful shines through in my work, and I want to share my passion with you!
Candid, earthy, and natural is my primary style when it comes to my work. I love a black and white image that tells a great story, or the contrast of colours playing off one another for a vibrant rendition of the events that unfold in each moment. Whether you are looking for newborn, maternity, family or equine photography, I am confident that my dedication, professionalism and beautiful work will surpass your expectations.
Contact me for more information, to chat about your vision or to book a session.
I can't wait to meet you!
